New App Helps Americans Demand Action on a Long-Term Infrastructure Plan

BAF urges travelers to use the “I’m Stuck” App to push legislators to take action

As millions of Americans gear up for travel over the upcoming holiday season, Building America’s Future (BAF) is renewing its call for citizens to use its mobile app to report travel delays and remind representatives in Congress about the dire state of American roads, bridges, airports and rails.

“It is imperative that Congress and the Administration hear our voices and work together to produce a long-term and well-funded plan to revitalize current infrastructure and meet the demands of current and future generations,” said Marcia Hale, president of BAF. “Our leaders must offer direct, federal dollars to address our aging roads, rails, runways and bridges. Our collapsing infrastructure must be a priority, or we will continue to fall behind as a nation.”

Americans can make their voices heard in Washington by using the “I’m Stuck” app. They’ll be able to report problems directly with their representatives in Congress, and share their pain and frustrations of outdated and overburdened transportation systems.

About the “I’m Stuck” App:

The free “I’m Stuck” app was created by Building America’s Future to give delayed travelers a way to communicate their frustration directly to their U.S. Representative or Senator. The app immediately emails a user’s Member of Congress with details about a particular delay, as a way to display the real-world, everyday gridlock caused by America’s lack of funding for infrastructure and transportation. 15,800 users have already downloaded I’m Stuck, and users have already sent 15,125 e-mails to Congress.
